Have some Time and want to support MCVFD?
In addition to financial assistance, MCVFD can always use a lending hand. If you have some time to help out, below are some areas where we can use a helping hand!
Fire Hall Yard Work
Help is needed to help maintain the property around the Fire Hall, including cutting grass (weeds), grading the driveway, clearing trees (small and large) from around the building.
Fire Hall Repairs
MCVFD recently removed the storage room from the Fire Hall. Assistance is needed to help close up the roof line and caulk the block exterior wall.
Fundraising Committee
MCVFD is currently working on our 2nd Annual Fire Up the Mountain Motorcycle to benefit the department. Volunteers are needed to help secure sponsors, donations for our raffle, promoting the event and support the day of the event.
Board Members
It takes more than just Fire Fighters to run MCVFD. The Board of Directors assist with overseeing all the financial and legal aspects of running the department.

Storage Room / Container
Since the removal of the storage portion of the fire hall, we are in desperate need of some type of storage building or container for equipment.
Building Materials
The MCVFD Fire Hall is in need of repairs! We are seeking donations of building materials for a new roof, shelving, and other repairs to the building.
Bottled Water
It gets HOT fighting fires. We always need bottled water to keep on the trucks, so our Fire Fighters have something to drink on scene.
Shovels
The Department is in need to at least three new spade shovels, to assist with wildland fires.
Communications
One of the biggest struggles for the MCVFD is communications. Due to the limited cell phone coverage on River Canyon / Mullins Cove, the Fire Fighters are often left with no means of communication with Marion County Dispatch, other departments, or even among themselves when they are on scene. Have an idea on how we can over come this major issue?
